Hello

A Bit About Me

I am the father of three beautiful daughters and three exceptional grandchildren. After graduating from Buffalo State University I relocated to Southwest Florida and have enjoyed successful careers as an elementary school teacher and administrator as well as a swimming pool designer.

During my college years I played football for the Buffalo State Bengals and sustained numerous concussions. In 2022 a local neurologist suggested Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy.  CTE is a brain disorder with no cure with symptoms that mimic Alzheimer’s ALS and Parkinsonism.  Unfortunately, official diagnosis of CTE is made by postmortem pathologic analysis.  My only recourse at this time is to deal with the mental and physical symptoms I'm experiencing (memory issues, attention and concentration loss, apathy, irritability, difficulty with balance and walking, slowed, slurred speech, seizures and chronic headaches) with my medical team.

To cope with the anxiety and self-doubt I started toying around with some old art supplies and began creating Quackadelik Art. On a challenge from a childhood friend, I started drawing fish and soon they were off and swimming. Although parts of my brain are slowly shutting down, the creativity part is still alive and well. I have always been passionate about education and am now using my time and talent to be an advocate for those in a similar situation.   I'm happy to have you along on my journey.
